We did the Daisy 5K, which is the oldest running 5K in Austin, benefiting Breast Cancer Resource Center of Central Texas this morning. It is mostly women and their kids. It used to be held on Mother's Day and now allows men to compete and there is a Kids K.
I had planned on being registered to compete in the stroller division. Unfortunately I was not listed in that group, because had I been I would have won first place. There were only two other ladies signed up in that category. So we finished in 30:14 which is pretty slow in normal terms but pretty good considering I had the extra 4o lbs to push around. I got Zachary home in time for his nap and we chilled out the rest of the morning.

Saturday Fun
Aaron is out of town for a wedding in New York. Zachary and I have the weekend to ourselves. Today I probably did more with Zachary in one day than I have since he was born. I still respected his naps and made sure we were home for each one, but we managed to run errands and stay active the rest of our day. He did have time in between for tummy time and play time and I feel more like life is resuming normalcy with kid!
We had a 30 minute or so jog in preparation for the Daisy 5k tomorrow. We also picked up our race packet and ran into friends from ARC and TIBH while we were at the RR outlets. Later in the afternoon we ventured over to Whole Foods for some artichokes, wine, soup for dinner and fruit. I was so lucky that the artichokes were perfect size and only $1.50 each! I guess the food gods were calling me there.
Bad weather is potentially on the way with tornado clouds a couple counties over but it might pass just to our north. Zachary went down for bed and I have to make sure everything is in order for the race tomorrow and watch some TV.
I needed to post some pictures.....
